There are moments in life when a person feels completely alone. It seems that every road is closed, every door is locked, and every hope is shattered. You feel that your story has ended and nothing good can happen now. But in reality, this is the exact moment when the mercy of Allah is closest to you. In the Holy Quran, Allah says, "Indeed, with hardship [there is] ease." (Quran 94:6). This verse teaches us a very beautiful lesson that ease is hidden inside the hardship itself, we just cannot see it at that time.
We humans are very impatient. We want our prayer that we made today to be accepted tomorrow. We want to get what we desire immediately. But the system of Allah is much better and more perfect than our system. He knows what is best for us and when it is best for us. Sometimes Allah does not give us what we are asking for, but He gives us something much better than that, which we never even imagined. So when all paths are closed, understand that Allah wants to take you to a better path.
Despair is a Sin in Islam
In Islam, despair is considered a sin. Because being hopeless means you have doubted the mercy of Allah. The mercy of Allah is so vast that it is deeper than all the oceans. If a mother loves her child more than anything, then think how much Allah, who loves us more than seventy mothers, will love His servant. How can He leave His servant alone? When Prophet Yunus (A.S) was in the belly of the whale, there was no way out, no hope, only darkness everywhere. But he called upon Allah, "La ilaha illa Anta, Subhanaka, Inni Kuntu Minaz-Zalimin" (There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers). And Allah took him out of that darkness. So your problem is not bigger than the belly of that whale.
Allah creates sources of help in such a way that a person is left amazed. Help comes from where you never even thought. Sometimes through a stranger, sometimes through a small incident, sometimes from a place you never imagined. When Hazrat Maryam (A.S) was alone, she had nothing to eat. Allah ordered her to shake the trunk of the palm tree, although that trunk was so strong that a woman could not shake it alone, but Allah made that small effort a source and dropped fresh dates for her. This means that you just have to make an effort, the result will be given by Allah.
The Power of Silent Prayers

We think that prayers that we do not say with our tongue are not heard. Although Allah knows the condition of the hearts. The silent wish that is in your heart, the tears that you shed in the darkness of the night that no one sees, Allah sees all of them. Allah says in the Quran, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." (Quran 40:60). Sometimes our prayers are not accepted immediately because Allah wants us to call Him again and again, to come closer to Him. He loves our crying and begging in front of Him. So never stop praying.
Sometimes in life, we feel that Allah is not listening to us. We pray and pray, but nothing happens. But the truth is that Allah is listening to every single word. He is just preparing something better for you. He knows that if He gives you what you want right now, it might not be good for you. So He delays it. And this delay is not a punishment, it is actually a preparation. Allah is preparing you for something bigger. Just like a farmer does not harvest the crop the same day he sows the seed, he waits, he waters it, he takes care of it. Similarly, Allah is taking care of your prayers.
Better Dreams Than Broken Dreams
In life, many of our dreams break. We work very hard for a job but we don't get it, we give great importance to a relationship but it breaks. At that time we feel that everything is over. But in reality, Allah has written something better for us. Do not regret what has been taken from you, because Allah is going to give you something better than that. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said that when Allah loves a servant, He puts him in trials. These trials are there so that the servant can be purified and become stronger.
What we think is an end, is actually a new beginning from Allah's side. When one door closes, Allah opens many other doors. But we are so focused on the closed door that we do not see the open doors. So do not cry for what is gone, wait for what Allah is going to give you. And believe me, what Allah will give will be so beautiful that you will forget all your past pains.
The Reward of Patience (Sabr)
The most important thing in this whole journey is Sabr (Patience). Patience does not mean that you sit with your hands folded and do nothing. Patience means that you keep trying, keep praying, and keep trusting in Allah. Allah is with those who are patient. When you are patient, Allah opens doors for you that you never even imagined. If you are in difficulty today, tomorrow you will become very strong because of this same difficulty. Every difficulty is a university that teaches you lessons that no book can teach.
Sabr is of three types. The first is to be patient in times of difficulty. The second is to be patient in avoiding sins. And the third is to be patient in worshipping Allah. If you adopt all three, then Allah will make your destiny so beautiful that you will be amazed.
In the end, I just want to say, do not be hopeless. If there is darkness today, then light will surely come tomorrow. Your Lord is with you, He is watching you, He is listening to you. He will create means, He will make a way out for you, He will listen to your silent prayers. You just have to keep your faith in Allah. Indeed, when Allah gives, He gives without any account. He gives in abundance. So keep praying, keep trying, and leave the result to Allah.
May Allah ease all your difficulties and fill your life with happiness. Ameen.
