The Heart of Pakistan: Lahore

Lahore is located in Punjab,Pakistan. It is the capital of Punjab province. Lahore is considered the heart of Pakistan due to various reasons including its great historical buildings, lively people, rich culture and art, and offcoure food and treats. Historical background of Lahore:

The history of Lahore is something to discuss. Lahore is a royal city. The ancient history of Lahore has a lot of doubts about it. There is no proof of where and how this city originated. According to tradition, Lahore was created by Prince Lava or Loh, the Hindu deity Rama's son, and was known in ancient times as Lavapuri ("City of Lava" in Sanskrit). Lahore Fort still maintains a deserted temple dedicated to Lava (also pronounced Loh, hence Loh-awar or "The Fort of Loh"). Historical buildings and famous universities of LAHORE:



The All-India Muslim League passed the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940, accepting the concept of a single homeland for Muslims living under the British Raj. To commemorate the event, the Minar-e-Pakistan, a towering minaret, was built at Iqbal Park. 


2-Badshahi Mosque:

Badshahi mosque was constructed by Aurangzeb in 1673. On the list of Pakistan's largest mosques, it is ranked second huge mosque. It is one of Lahore's best preserved. Over 50,000 worshipers can pray here at a time. Pelics of Prophet Muhammad (S.W),his daughter Hazrat Fatima (R.A), and his son-in-law Hazrat Ali (A.S) are also on display. It holds a lot of value among all the historical buildings in Pakistan.



3-Museum of LAHORE:

It is the country's largest museum, and it has a lot of intriguing exhibits. Textiles, ancient jewellery, armoury, and pottery are among the items on display.


3-Wazir Khan Mosque:

The Wazir Khan Mosque was erected seven years and is known for its beautiful tile work. It was built between 1634 and 1641 AD, under the reign of Shah Jehan. It was built by Hakim Sheikh Ilmuddin Ansari, a Chiniot inhabitant. He worked as the court physician for Shah Jahan and was known as Wazir Khan, a title bestowed upon him by the emperor. The mosque is located within the city limits and is easily accessible through the Delhi Gate. The mosque, a testament to the Mughal love of good architecture, is still one of Lahore's most influential historic structures.




Lahori cuisine is the cuisine of Lahore, which is located in Punjab, Pakistan. Lahore has an incredibly diverse cuisine culture. Lahore residents are known throughout the country for their passion. Lahori people are hospitable people and being Punjabis they love food. Food is the main source of entertainment for lahoris. Lahori street food is a burst of flavour in your mouth. Famous Lahori street food includes fruit chaat, gol gappy known as Pani puri, samosa, jalebi, lassi, street chai,dahi baray, etc. 




Lahore is also very famous for its bazaars. Anarkali Bazar is a world-famous Bazar with its traditional selling products and less rates. Lahore is now divided into two parts Old Lahore and New Lahore. Old Lahore includes all the historical and cultural side of the city with local markets while on the other hand new Lahore is a bit modernized side of the Lahore which has introduced us with big malls and shopping centers including all the branded stuff. This distribution allows all the shopaholics to choose between what they want and also provides a lot of options to choose from. Lahori local market is considered as cheaper in price than other cities of the country. Many  shopkeepers from all over Punjab come to Lahore to buy stuff in bulk.

 Lahori khussas and embroidered fabrics are very famous. Lahore is also considered as the house of Fashion. Pakistani fashion trends start from Lahore.
