How Quality Scores Work

Every article submitted to Article.pk receives a quality score from 0 to 100. This score is calculated automatically based on 9 criteria that reflect what makes content successful for both readers and search engines.

What Each Category Measures

• Content Structure (20 pts): Number of H2 headings, paragraphs, FAQ section, conclusion section, and lists/tables. Well-organized articles score highest.
• Link Quality (15 pts): Internal links to other Article.pk articles. External links should be from reputable sources. New writers (under 5 articles) get full credit automatically.
• E-E-A-T Signals (15 pts): Author bio, profile photo, verified phone number, and number of published articles. Build your profile to boost this score.
• Word Count (10 pts): Articles with 1200+ words get full marks. Minimum 500 words required, but aim for 800+.
• Images (10 pts): Featured image plus at least one in-content image with proper alt text.
• SEO Optimization (10 pts): SEO title, meta description, title length (50-60 characters ideal), and keyword placement.
• Readability (10 pts): Short paragraphs, varied sentence length, bullet points. Content should be easy to scan and understand.
• Freshness (5 pts): Recently published and updated content scores higher.
• Engagement (5 pts): Comments, bookmarks, and reader interaction boost this score over time.

Earning Tiers Explained

Your earning tier determines your share of advertising revenue. Article.pk shares 50% of AdSense revenue with writers, and your tier multiplier adjusts that share based on your content quality.

SEO Basics for Writers

Search Engine Optimization helps your articles get discovered by readers through Google, Bing, and other search engines. Here are the essentials:

Title

• Length: Keep your title between 50-60 characters for best display in search results.
• Keywords: Include your main topic keyword naturally in the title.
• Clarity: Make it clear what the reader will learn. "How to..." and "Top 10..." formats work well.

Meta Description

• Length: 120-160 characters. This shows under your title in Google search results.
• Action: Tell readers what they will gain by reading your article.

Content Structure

• Headings: Use H2 headings to organize your article into clear sections. Aim for 4+ H2 headings.
• Paragraphs: Keep paragraphs short (3-4 sentences). Long blocks of text are hard to read.
• Lists: Use bullet points and numbered lists to break up information.
• FAQ Section: Add 3-5 frequently asked questions at the end. This helps your article appear in Google's "People Also Ask" feature.
• Conclusion: Summarize your key points in a conclusion section.

Using Keyword Suggestions

When you create a new article, you will see a "Trending Keywords for You" panel at the top of the create page. These are personalized suggestions based on your writing history and current search trends.

How to Use Keyword Suggestions

• Look at the score badge on each keyword. Higher scores mean better opportunities.
• Check the estimated monthly earning to understand the revenue potential.
• Click "Use This Keyword" to auto-fill your article title and category.
• Write your article around the keyword topic, but keep it natural and helpful.
• Don't force keywords. Write for humans first, search engines second.

Quick Wins (Do These First)

• Add a profile photo and write a short bio on your profile page. This boosts your E-E-A-T score immediately.
• Verify your phone number in Settings. Verified authors score higher.
• Always add a featured image and at least one in-content image with descriptive alt text.
• Write an FAQ section with 3-5 questions at the end of every article.
• Write a Conclusion summarizing your key points.

Content Quality

• Aim for 1000+ words. Longer articles (when well-written) rank better and earn more views.
• Use 4+ H2 headings to structure your content into clear sections.
• Keep paragraphs short (3-4 sentences max). Use bullet points and tables.
• Add internal links to other Article.pk articles when relevant. This helps both SEO and reader engagement.
• Fill in SEO title and description fields. Keep SEO title under 60 characters and description under 160 characters.

What to Avoid

• Don't copy content from other websites. Original content only.
• Don't use hidden text or stuff keywords. Our system detects this and it lowers your score.
• Don't add spammy external links. Links to gambling, adult, or suspicious sites will be blocked.
• Don't submit very short articles. Articles under 500 words rarely score well.

Quality Score Before Submitting

Use the "Check Quality" button on the article create page to see your quality score before submitting. This gives you a chance to improve your article based on specific tips before it goes to review.
